Our Woodland Awakening Gathering takes place every year when the nice weather arrives and the land awakens anew. Join us as we celebrate nature in a woodland setting. We gather every year as if for the first time, with the promise of new light, new leaves, new grass, new growth. The land is as eager as we are for the building of new friendships and community.

As the wheel of the year continues to turn, it finds us with a spring in our step and the winter behind us. We gather to honour the Gods, remind them we are still here and to give thanks for the rebirth and renewal of the Earth.

The event  includes a Potluck Dinner and our annual Sumbel around the main fire. A Sumbel is a formal Norse ritual composed of toasting, hails, the recitation of poetry or song, and other forms of verbal expression to accent the passing fo a community horn of Mead around the circle. Feel free to bring Mead of your own to add to the offerings for the ritual.

StoneHeart offers rough camping at its finest, come and experience it for yourself.

Experience the energies of a Mayan Sacred Fire Ceremony as we honor the spirits who inhabit the forest and trees. The fire will burn bright as we recall  and honor our age old connection to Nature, Creator and the 20 Nawals.

The summer solstice is celebrated the world over. It is a great time to rekindle existing romances surrounded by nature with all its elements and magic. It is time for spiritual initiation and change. It is an ideal time for you to let go of your ego and old patterns of suppression and focus on what you wish to bring to your life. It is time to invite the sun's energy and connect with your higher self and feel inspired.

What to Bring

Participants are asked to bring two white candles to honor your Ancestors. You are also encouraged to bring offerings of flowers, cacao beans, dark chocolate,  pure or raw sugar, Florida water, organic honey and or cornmeal, Puros (pure tobacco cigars), Copal,  dried organic herbs of Rosemary, Cedar, Sage, Rue, Cinnamon, and  Lavender to give to the Elders to help with the ceremony. These are sacred symbols of deep respect, a gift to the fire and Mother Earth Pachamamma, and help to bring favor of the scared Nawals.

To respect Indigenous protocol we request that women wear skirts. You are encouraged to bring drums, rattles and lawn chair.

Potluck will follow after ceremony if you would like to bring something to share.
